Companionionship and help at home for older people

It was established by me, Sarah Relf, at the beginning of 2017

​

My aim is to improve the lives of older people living locally in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and privacy, by providing a personal companionship and lifestyle service

​

Having looked at help that is currently available to older people, the emphasis seems to be very much on medical and practical care (things such as dressing and bathing). But experience suggests to me that what many people miss as they get older is often a bit of company, and/or help with the everyday running of their home

 

For you (or your loved one), this could be anything from sharing a chat and a cup of coffee at home to accompanying you to a medical appointment. Or perhaps running errands for you, or an outing to the theatre, or helping you reduce the cost of home insurance, or with basic technology. I want to ensure that you are happy and to help you manage day-to-day, so your wish is my command!

I provide a local service, so areas I cover include East and West Horsley, East and West Clandon, Ockham and Ripley. If you live further away, please contact me to discuss your requirements

 

I appreciate that asking for help can be difficult, and that it might be worrying to invite someone into your home. My promise is that I will listen to you and ensure that you are happy with the service I offer. I will always treat you with the respect and consideration that I would hope for if I were you
